this hotel was not prepared for the conference I attended. Only 1 bartender the entire time, running out of coffee and food at the buffet. The rooms were older, our bathroom door did not shut. Check in took an hour due to there only being 1 person at the front desk. I understand it's not the workers fault. This hotel needs to employ more people!

My stay at the Columbus Airport Marriott was mixed. The biggest issue was the room quality. The first room I was given had a very strong smoke odor, which was disappointing. The staff, however, were extremely friendly and helpful and quickly moved me to another room. The second room still had a slight smoke smell, but it was noticeably better. However, it was bad enough that all of my stuff smells like smoke now. The room itself felt dated and could use some updating. I also noticed the bed skirt had visible stains, which wasn't a great impression. On the positive side, the bathroom appeared to be updated, and the room overall seemed clean. I also appreciated that the TV included Netflix access, which was a nice convenience. The staff really helped improve the experience and deserve credit for being accommodating and professional. With some room updates and better attention to odors and presentation details, the stay would have been much better. As it stands, I would not stay here again.

Staff was friendly. Check in was at 3pm. We arrived at 6pm and they said our room wasn’t ready and it was going to be an hour unless we wanted a double bed. We had booked a king. We were told they had a huge event the night before so the rooms weren’t ready. Based on other reviews this sounds like a regular occurrence. We left and returned about an hour later and it was ready. Upon arrival to the room I did a full inspection. The bed felt weird so I checked under the sheet and the mattress pad was inside out. I attempted to turn it around and found that there were blood stains on it. The sheets looked and smelled not fresh. We went to the front desk for options. The gentleman asked if we wanted them to change the bed, change rooms , or if we wanted to check out. We opted to have them change the bedding. Within 20 mins housekeeping arrived to change them and told us the sheets were fine just the mattress pad wasn’t. I let them know we wanted a full change. She left because she didn’t bring a mattress pad and returned about 15 mins later. She changed everything, we did tip her as it sounded like she was the only person working. Granted the bed was flat, it wasn’t terrible.
